Elastic material for robotic gripper - Materials Square

Elastic material for robotic gripper

    Hi,

Am currently doing a project that involves designing a robotic arm which picks and places medical surgical instruments. I am trying to design it so that the gripper can be as universally applicable to slightly different size variations of instruments and thought that a elastic material that could undergo some deformation could help with this... would be grateful for any material suggestions/where or what I should look into.

    thanks!

    Hello.

Thank you for your attention to Materials Square.

How about obtaining the elastic property for your polymers?

Or, you can calculate the bulk modulus for the inorganic materials.

    Thank you.
